Homemade Pumpkin Spice Recipe for Coffee
Think about a slice of pumpkin pie. Does it taste like pumpkin, or does it taste like a warming, comforting blend of spices like cinnamon, ginger, allspice, and nutmeg? Yep, it’s the spice that makes it nice. And those spices play very nicely with our best friend, coffee.
You can make it easy on yourself and get yourself a bag of our Pumpkin Spice Flavored coffee, or visit your local Peet’s and order a Pumpkin Latte (or any of our other amazing pumpkin bevs), and enjoy the beauty of fall, crafted at the hands of one of our talented Baristas.
But let’s say you’re a dark roast coffee lover, you dig pumpkin spice, and you want to get that comforting vibe in the comfort of your own home. Or you have perfected your cold brew brewing game and you’ve got a bag of Baridi Blend screaming to be brewed. Add some Pumpkin Spice Dust to your grounds (or your mug!) the next time you brew:
Pumpkin Spice Dust Recipe
Ingredients
Makes about 5 ½ tablespoons
3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground allspice
½ teaspoon ground cloves
Directions
- Mix all of the ingredients in a jar, making sure to break up any clumps. (Store the jar in a cool dark place. It will last until the earliest expiration date of the spices you used.)
- Add a scant teaspoon to your coffee grounds for each mug or glass you’re brewing. Like it pumpkin spicier? Bump up. More subtle? Use a little less.
