Honey Almond Caramel Cafe au Lait Recipe

Some people are chocolate people, some people are caramel people, and some are “yes, please, as long as it involves coffee” people. It won’t be too hard to guess which camp we fall into, here at Peet’s. And while we love anything and everything coffee-related, it’s fun to sweeten things up, especially since we have a limited release flavored coffee this spring: Peet’s Honey Almond Flavored Coffee. We double down on sweetness in this Honey Almond Caramel Café au Lait recipe, and if you want to triple down (is that a thing?), give it a topping of whipped cream nuggets of toasty almonds, salted chocolate shavings, or an extra drizzle of caramel.
Olé Au Lait
We made this classic au lait with dairy milk, but we know it would be just as creamy and delicious with oat milk or coconut milk. Or you could really go nuts with almond milk (see what we did there? Honey Almond Caramel Café au Lait
Makes one cup
INGREDIENTS
1 Peet’s Honey Almond Flavored K-Cup® Pod
4 oz. milk or alt-milk of choice
1 tablespoon caramel sauce
Crushed toasted almonds, salted almond bark, whipped cream (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Spoon caramel sauce into your favorite mug.
- Insert Peet’s Honey Almond Flavored K-Cup® Pod into Keurig Machine. Brew on the strongest setting into your mug.
- Steam milk.
- Pour steamed milk over the top of your coffee.
- Garnish with whipped cream and crushed toasted almonds, salted almond bark, or simply swirl an additional spoonful of caramel on top (optional).
