Peet's Holiday Blend Tradition
The best beans of the season just got better
Holiday Blend is a tradition as exciting for us as it is for the Peetniks who count the days until each year’s installment. And this year’s full-bodied brew is no exception. We mull over each sample that passes through The Cupping Room with the thought—is it Holiday-worthy?
Peet's 2024 Holiday Blend
For 2024, decadent chocolate ganache notes from Guatemala play in harmony with Kenya’s mouthwateringly juicy pops of candied cherries, making an unmistakable chocolate covered cherry melody. And it’s all grounded in the gutsy, rich texture and allspice warmth of Sumatra Mutu Batak. A celebratory symphony of the year’s best lots in a classic interplay of flavors that’s eagerly awaited all year. Together, these three coffees layer and interplay in a blend that’s beautifully complex. It’s a dark roast that’s deceptively juicy, full of chocolate, spirited flavor, and aroma. It’s a perfect toast during this celebratory time of year, and we’re as proud as ever to share it with you this festive season. Cheers to Holiday joy!
This year’s luscious cup honors diverse communities and regions, a blend of coffees that cleave together in a cup of cheer. At Peet’s, we pour more than coffee into every cup—we’re driving positive impact in every region where we source beans for Holiday Blend 2024.
"Coffee can be a powerful means of doing good."
-Jim Reynolds, Peet's Roastmaster Emeritus
HOLIDAY BLEND’S IMPACT AT ORIGIN
Peet’s offers training to smallholder coffee farmers in Guatemala through our partner TechnoServe’s MOCCA Program, a rehabilitation and renovation initiative aimed at helping farmers overcome hurdles impeding their businesses and livelihoods. Learn more.
HOLIDAY BLEND GIVES BACK
In addition to our ongoing commitment to support coffee producers and farmers at origin, we're giving back locally, close to Peet’s home in the Bay Area. For every pound of Holiday Blend 2024 sold, Peet’s will donate $1 to our non-profit partner Oakland Bloom, to support Open Test Kitchen*.
ABOUT OPEN TEST KITCHEN
Oakland Bloom is an immigrant and diaspora-led organization dedicated to creating accessible pathways to business ownership for poor, working-class, migrant, and BIPOC chefs through two key programs: the Open Test Kitchen (OTK) Incubation program and the OTK restaurant. In the Incubation program, chefs gain educational resources, mentorship, and training in business and financial literacy through weekly courses and workshops, preparing them to transition from pop-ups to becoming operators at Oakland Bloom’s brick-and-mortar restaurant and community space, OTK. As a shared commercial kitchen and chef-led restaurant, bar, and café, OTK serves as a hub for cultural exchange and creativity, bringing people together through food and events that spark connections and action. OTK's mission is to redefine what a kitchen can be—a space where chefs can refine and share their culinary heritage in a supportive, community-driven environment.
PEET’S, LOVE, AND HOLIDAY
This year’s Holiday Blend brings us together through more than just flavor. We encourage you to try some, and we’re thrilled to offer the opportunity to do some good while you do.
